The exquisite Grace Ballroom celebrates the rich history of our original building, and features a modern aesthetic blended with original historic features. Floor to ceiling windows fill the re-imagined gymnasium, functioning now as the most elegant venue in the city.
The 30′ original ceilings , rose gold chandeliers, polished wood floors and original mezzanine running track help provide an unforgettable setting for a banquet, conference, or special event.
Once the aquatic center of the YMCA, the Society Ballroom is now graced with expertly curated artwork, mirrored uplit window style alcoves, plush silver tone carpet styled as moving waters and floor to ceiling white drapes.
Guests can make use of “Society Gallery”, an elevated pre-function space at the entrance of the Society Ballroom. Sophisticated and timeless, the Society Ballroom begs visitors to celebrate the past while celebrating the present.

The Society Lounge, The Guild’s most private meeting space, is ideal for small meetings or intimate events. Hardwood floors, deep maroon velvet drapes and rich fabric club chairs combine with convertible marble tables to create dramatic designer events.

Under the iconic YMCA sign you’ll find a unique urban garden large enough to inspire over 335 wedding guests. “Poppy” is landscaped with flowers that bear the same name as the space, as well as succulents, olive and Carolina laurel cherry trees. This coveted space boasts a mosaic “carpet like” brick terrace design, a criss cross of tivoli style lighting, garden uplights and available sound system. One of our signature spaces, “Poppy” is a breathtaking location for a wedding ceremony or reception.
